Sunrise on the 5th Day

Flowers from Companion Bakeshop

If you don’t become the ocean, you’ll be seasick every day. Leonard Cohen

The ocean is so close, I feel it’s pull. I know any moment I’ll be dressed and down the street. Still in quarantine from travel with a few more days to go. The morning begins cool and warms as the day progresses. And the sun intense. Jet lag. West coast time has not taken over as of yet so sleeping odd hours. I’m once again tasting different almond croissants and I found the Italian Cookies my daughter raves about yesterday at the Farmer’s Market within walking distance of the hotel. And she slept through her first day of recovery from surgery. Resting. I am amazed at the turn of events. The sunrising outside my window.
